VYO coaches must be leaders. All must recognize that they hold a position of trust and responsibility in a program that deals with a sensitive and formative period of a child’s development.
It is required that the coaches have understanding, patience and the capacity to work with children. The coach should be able to inspire respect. Above all else, coaches must realize that they are helping to shape the physical, mental and emotional development of young people.
If you or someone you know would like to get involved as a baseball, softball, and/or basketball coach for the VYO please contact us.
Whether you are new to coaching or have years of experience we wanted to provide you with useful information to help you provide the best experiences for the children that you coach.
